Was it all a LIE?

I call my mum as usual before I sleep on 21st June 2022 and gives me the news that they received their annual bonus earlier than expected. But why Munya? Over the year CS Munya has promised tea farmers of better pay but alas they receive their bonus In June when it is supposed to be released in October as the norm. Is the national elections leading to all of this changes. But why the reduction in the bonus payment.   The dollar seems to rise and as tea is exported, they expected a rise in their payments because the pay is supposedly higher. I really hope the presidential candidates this year are keen on seen this drastic drop in tea farmers bonuses. The current president uhuru Kenyatta should also comment on why the change of the prices, why the bonus came earlier than expected and why the promise from the promise from the government on getting a higher bonus rate was not fulfilled. This is such a bad feeling for all the tea farmers especially now that it is coming ...

Reminiscing on my Good Old Writing Skills and How Far I have come

 I began writing in 2009. This was a trial moment and I was not sure if what I wrote was good enough. I had just joined college for a Certificate course in Mass Communication at The Multimedia University of Kenya. I used to visit the library often. What took me there was basically to look at the papers.  It was a habit I had formed since I was a baby. My daddy now late used to buy newspapers and I was fond of perusing them. Another thing I loved was listening to the news, either the 7 pm Kiswahili news or the 9 pm bulletin. I got amused mostly by the current affairs especially when I grew older and could understand what was going on.  I can remember vividly when I was in primary school, telling my dad of the new people who had been appointed by the President in the cabinet. It was exciting. I was into politics and mostly Kenyan politics.  So going back a little bit into my high school days, there the newspaper was pinned on the notice board. Of course, high sch...

According to Fox News,The Pope visits War -Torn Africa.Yes we know a few countries in Africa have had war or violence in the past but it doesn't mean we still face it. Kenya should borrow a Leaf from Westernized countries

  Just look at the additional jobs last month in the U.S, while we still wailing over the unemployment menace in Kenya...are our leaders ever curious about how to get here? Will we ever get here? Guess that remains a rhetorical question as to where we stand. Last night was AFCON final game Then Kenya ’s former Gor Mahia’s coach, Ghost Mulee can’t be maintained, It has become a trend now that our football teams keep changing local coaches with coaches coming from Westernized countries. Who even decides on this? Now that Kenya is an election year and the next leaders will take their seats come August 2022, it is a challenge for the upcoming leaders to work on seeing another sport bring Kenya to the Limelight in Africa let alone in the world, or should we just stick to Athletics?
