Was it all a LIE?

I call my mum as usual before I sleep on 21st June 2022 and gives me the news that they received their annual bonus earlier than expected. But why Munya? Over the year CS Munya has promised tea farmers of better pay but alas they receive their bonus In June when it is supposed to be released in October as the norm. Is the national elections leading to all of this changes. But why the reduction in the bonus payment.   The dollar seems to rise and as tea is exported, they expected a rise in their payments because the pay is supposedly higher. I really hope the presidential candidates this year are keen on seen this drastic drop in tea farmers bonuses. The current president uhuru Kenyatta should also comment on why the change of the prices, why the bonus came earlier than expected and why the promise from the promise from the government on getting a higher bonus rate was not fulfilled. This is such a bad feeling for all the tea farmers especially now that it is coming ...

Kenya should borrow a Leaf from Westernized countries

Just look at the additional jobs last month in the U.S, while we still wailing over the unemployment menace in Kenya...are our leaders ever curious about how to get here? Will we ever get here? Guess that remains a rhetorical question as to where we stand.
Last night was AFCON final game
Then Kenya’s former Gor Mahia’s coach, Ghost Mulee can’t be maintained, It has become a trend now that our football teams keep changing local coaches with coaches coming from Westernized countries.
Who even decides on this?
Now that Kenya is an election year and the next leaders will take their seats come August 2022, it is a challenge for the upcoming leaders to work on seeing another sport bring Kenya to the Limelight in Africa let alone in the world, or should we just stick to Athletics? Senegal's WIN on 6th February 2022 was just epic.

Young people want to be empowered, they need to see things brought to action and not empty promises every election year. People are tired of handouts, road construction that takes forever to be finished, electricity breakouts that take forever to be restored.
It
is sad to see that my Mum back in Kirinyaga County can stay in the dark out of blackouts simply because the Kenya Power officers don't see the need to restore electricity there. It is the norm that if electricity breakout happens in the outskirts of Kerugoya Town and the town itself, they get restored immediately.
But what is the reason for not restoring for people leaving in the outskirts of town? This is where people live and have built their houses, they have online work to do s well and smartphones to use often.
So what if someone gets an accident or emergency while in the outskirts, how should the people in the homestead get help. Without electricity, their phones cannot be charged and communication with their children and neighbours comes to a standstill.

This pains me when I am reminded of KPLC corruption scandals. Why should they keep Kenyans in the dark? What is their work in an actual sense when the officers employed there are getting their monthly wages? Such occurrences of people refusing to do their work is what lags our country behind.

It should be the task of a Kenyan himself looking out to do his or her mandate and not pinpoint all the failures of the systems of Government and the Country on the leaders. Change starts with you and me. Let us take up the challenge as Kenyans in 2022.
