Was it all a LIE?
Long long time since I wrote,I went back to school to further my studies at postgraduate level in January so when classes begin,I don't know why I forgot all about my blog.
Now am back and come what may I will be finding time to write.Masters ain't a joke.Alot of work there, assignment, research, term papers, reading ahead of class so you don't feel odd when people are participating in class, its just alot. But I thank God it has been well and it is possible to do that which you thought is hard or possible. As the scripture says in Phillipians 4:13-"All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me."
When I was choosing the units I would tackle this semester,I had the freight of one"Statistics for Communication Research"with the mention of Statistics i knew it would involve mathematics which i detested In my high school days.I had the attitude of I know I can't pass in mathematics then and consequently I didn't do well in it like i did in languages hence my choice of "Communications" as a course in campus. So all through i knew I would never again come across mathematics.Shocker on me when I got to apply for my masters,it was mentioned during Orientation time that if you never did a unit on "Statistics" in your undergraduate level then you had to do it as a zero credit hour course so as to graduate with a masters degree at Daystar University where I am pursuing my masters.
So during the first class of Statistics on a Saturday 23rd January 2016,the lecturer teaching us just had a way of talking that made me love the course however much I imagined doing mathematics and failing. She mentioned that for you to pass the course you will just need a positive mind towards it.
Since that day i have always looked forward to the classes.I have such a positive mind towards it until i find nothing quite hard. That is the kind of attitude pupils and students should be brought up with towards life.A lot things seem impossible but if only you had a positive mind towards them then all would work out well. How I wish high school mathematics teachers would have encouraging conversations to lift pupils and students hopes towards the subject. That it is possible to pass,if only you believed, put up your effort, revised, then why would you fail?
If i had such an encouragment at high school as i had from my masters lecturer,i think i would have done better.I just wish this will be applied to the coming generations, then failure wouldn't be anyone's portion. That's my lesson to my readers today.
#GodBless
#Shalom.
