I call my mum as usual before I sleep on 21st June 2022 and gives me the news that they received their annual bonus earlier than expected. But why Munya? Over the year CS Munya has promised tea farmers of better pay but alas they receive their bonus In June when it is supposed to be released in October as the norm. Is the national elections leading to all of this changes. But why the reduction in the bonus payment.   The dollar seems to rise and as tea is exported, they expected a rise in their payments because the pay is supposedly higher. I really hope the presidential candidates this year are keen on seen this drastic drop in tea farmers bonuses. The current president uhuru Kenyatta should also comment on why the change of the prices, why the bonus came earlier than expected and why the promise from the promise from the government on getting a higher bonus rate was not fulfilled. This is such a bad feeling for all the tea farmers especially now that it is coming ...

Politics is a dirty game!

Politics is for sure a dirty game. Year in year out this iron lady from Gichugu constituency has always had something to stir up people's thoughts .She has been at her high and low moments but she is never brought down. She always walks with her chin raised her .I have always admired her as a woman and also from the fact that we hail from the same county .Martha Karua has served as  a lawyer, member of parliament of Gichugu and also as minister of Justice.




One thing with her is that she remains confident in how she runs her affairs. In 2007 she vied for presidency in Kenya and lost .Well she might have known she didn't stand a chance to win but she did vie anyway .I liked her vigor especially in the presidential debates of 2007.Well i don't know why she didn't even get to no.2 as a presidential candidate especially being a woman .It seems women don't vote in their fellow women when they vie for political seats .If many women did vote her in i think she would have ranked higher than where she got to.

This year, 2016, rumors came in that Martha Karua is set to vie for governorship in Kirinyaga County. Well that would be going for a lesser position .We all thought she was going to go for the presidential seat again, but to our surprise she has vowed to support Uhuru Kenyatta for president as most of the Kirinyaga resident want him to get the seat once more.

This in a way has brought about some shock to Anne Waiguru who is also vying for governorship in Kirinyaga County. Waiguru is vying under Jubilee Coalition led by Uhuru Kenyatta while Martha will vie under her party Narc Kenya which she says will not join up with Jubilee but she will support him for presidency.Am sure its also a bomb to Uhuru as both Waiguru and Martha are vying for the seats in Kirinyaga County and supporting him for presidency,just who is he going to support is the querie now.

May the Lord guide through the Iron lady as she battles down the governorship seat of Kirinyaga County.

Kenya should borrow a Leaf from Westernized countries

  Just look at the additional jobs last month in the U.S, while we still wailing over the unemployment menace in Kenya...are our leaders ever curious about how to get here? Will we ever get here? Guess that remains a rhetorical question as to where we stand.
