Was it all a LIE?

I call my mum as usual before I sleep on 21st June 2022 and gives me the news that they received their annual bonus earlier than expected. But why Munya? Over the year CS Munya has promised tea farmers of better pay but alas they receive their bonus In June when it is supposed to be released in October as the norm. Is the national elections leading to all of this changes. But why the reduction in the bonus payment.   The dollar seems to rise and as tea is exported, they expected a rise in their payments because the pay is supposedly higher. I really hope the presidential candidates this year are keen on seen this drastic drop in tea farmers bonuses. The current president uhuru Kenyatta should also comment on why the change of the prices, why the bonus came earlier than expected and why the promise from the promise from the government on getting a higher bonus rate was not fulfilled. This is such a bad feeling for all the tea farmers especially now that it is coming ...

Faith Without Actions is Dead

In Raila Odinga’s , popularly known as RAO National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer exclusive interview by Citizen’s TV’s Hussein Mohammed on 4th May , he mentioned that if he wins as President in the August 8th election he will change a couple of things in his first 90days in office. Among them are food prices being subsidized and rent being lowered.
We have had verbal promises from politicians over the years and once they get into office they just do shoddy jobs just to blind people, then bag cash and expand their territories then remember ‘wananchi’ when the 5 year term is almost elapsing. Then is when they creep back and humble themselves pretending to be nice and then campaign for the next election votes.
If politicians think that will be the same song this time round, they better think twice. People are always enlightened with time and those people that voted in 2013 are not the same that will vote in 2017.Literally they are but their perceptions towards politicians keep changing .To start with the economy has opened up people’s eyes and thoughts towards their country development and the leaders they vote in.

Kenyans need actions not words, even the Bible states in James 2:20 that ‘Faith without Actions is Dead’. We as citizens of Kenya want to see the implementation of the promises they give us in their campaigns. We want to see our roads refurbished, food prices stabilized, rent rates back to normal, the youth getting jobs and every citizens treated well.
We just hope and pray that for once we would have leaders that are willing to do all that it takes to see its country develop in terms getting rid of corruption, nepotism, the economy being stabilized.
‘Wakenya watakagua’ this time round. Change must come through on 8th August 2017.
‘Mwamko Mpya’.
