Was it all a LIE?

I call my mum as usual before I sleep on 21st June 2022 and gives me the news that they received their annual bonus earlier than expected. But why Munya? Over the year CS Munya has promised tea farmers of better pay but alas they receive their bonus In June when it is supposed to be released in October as the norm. Is the national elections leading to all of this changes. But why the reduction in the bonus payment.   The dollar seems to rise and as tea is exported, they expected a rise in their payments because the pay is supposedly higher. I really hope the presidential candidates this year are keen on seen this drastic drop in tea farmers bonuses. The current president uhuru Kenyatta should also comment on why the change of the prices, why the bonus came earlier than expected and why the promise from the promise from the government on getting a higher bonus rate was not fulfilled. This is such a bad feeling for all the tea farmers especially now that it is coming ...

No Human is Limited

Today was that day that Kenyans were eagerly waiting for. One man made even the sleepy heads wake up so early just to catch a glimpse of him breaking the record. Happening in Vienna, the INEOS159 challenge was eagerly awaited for by the world for this one man from Nandi county, Kenya to break the record of running a marathon under 2 hours. Social media was  all buzz with a lot of excitement and eagerness of if Eliud Kipchoge would break the record in 1 hour 59 minutes.

Even companies such as Safaricom and Bolt brought smiles to Kenyan faces by giving amazing offers under the 159 digits. Safaricom gave each and every Kenya that was willing  got free YouTube bundles of 1590MB to catch Kipchoge run the Ineos159 race live on you tube while Bolt offered people a chance to get a free ride with their taxis just by using the code ELIUD159. Such a unity was brought to Kenyan just by this one man Eliud Kipchoge.

Kipchoge, a young man and a last born in Nandi County to a single parent and happened never to set eyes on his dad as he passed on before his birth. Such a humble man brought in joy to the country Kenya when he broke the record of running below 2 hours in 1:59:40. The most exciting quote that i got from a engagement he had with a reporter after the race was that "No Human is Limited". This man comes from a humble background but does not show any pride, he however has brought joy to his motherland Kenya, his community and his family.

I am so humbled from the gesture Eliud Kipchoge brought out today, 12th October 2019, that it is possible, you just have to step out and do what you have to do. Tears run through my eyes when I saw the energy he had when getting to the finish line, he got so excited and so energized, the speed increased, he was all smiles, pointing at the finish line and waving at the crowd on the sides cheering him. Eliud Kipchoge will remain a great man in Kenyan history, in the worlds history and more so in the sports fraternity. What is it that you and I are holding back and not exploiting. What is the fear you have of not trying and seeing how far you will get. Let the quote by Kipchoge today " No Human is Limited" encourage you, let it bring you out from that cage, from that fear. Know that there is hope, you just have to wake up , think over it, work at it and see that with all the hard work and determination everything will be accomplished. If you have done so and gotten disappointed , do it again, get an alternative, do it in another way, change your strategy. There is Indeed Hope.
