I call my mum as usual before I sleep on 21st June 2022 and gives me the news that they received their annual bonus earlier than expected. But why Munya? Over the year CS Munya has promised tea farmers of better pay but alas they receive their bonus In June when it is supposed to be released in October as the norm. Is the national elections leading to all of this changes. But why the reduction in the bonus payment.   The dollar seems to rise and as tea is exported, they expected a rise in their payments because the pay is supposedly higher. I really hope the presidential candidates this year are keen on seen this drastic drop in tea farmers bonuses. The current president uhuru Kenyatta should also comment on why the change of the prices, why the bonus came earlier than expected and why the promise from the promise from the government on getting a higher bonus rate was not fulfilled. This is such a bad feeling for all the tea farmers especially now that it is coming ...

Virusi Safarini

The feature shown yesterday on Citizen TV at 7pm and 9 pm was such an eye opener to all Kenyans and even the government as to how Corona Virus is spreading in the country. The cessation of movement placed by His Excellency the President seems not to have a major impact on Kenyans staying at home and putting in all the measures placed by the government to keep oneself from contracting the deadly Coronavirus. Purity Mwambia, an investigative journalist with Citizen TV did the feature "virusisafarini '' which has stirred a lot of insights especially from Kenyans on Twitter commonly known as K.O.T. It is sad that hardly anyone will  stand up for her, not even the media council of Kenya, by now they should have watched the clip if at all it was not watched by any of their officials yesternight when the feature was aired during news time.

 This story was so impactful as you and I as Kenyans should be in the forefront in fighting this pandemic. Corona Virus is real, it kills. It is among us. From the feature people could be seen going about their normal lives without adhering to the measures placed by the government and over and over again emphasized by the Minister of health, Mutahi Kagwe. It is sad that we are out in crowds and in public without face masks that are supposed to protect us. People still hug and handshake openly with no fear, bribes are exchanged all over just to have access to where you cannot reach freely like in the past. I thought we were crying foul of there being no money, the economy going down. But why bribe? If you really have to travel, get an official letter and make your way into the other county. Kenyans should be extra careful, do we just want to hear all of us dying seriously. Let us put a stop to this and fight COVID-19. Pamoja tukomeshe Corona.

Kenya should borrow a Leaf from Westernized countries

  Just look at the additional jobs last month in the U.S, while we still wailing over the unemployment menace in Kenya...are our leaders ever curious about how to get here? Will we ever get here? Guess that remains a rhetorical question as to where we stand. Last night was AFCON final game Then Kenya ’s former Gor Mahia’s coach, Ghost Mulee can’t be maintained, It has become a trend now that our football teams keep changing local coaches with coaches coming from Westernized countries. Who even decides on this?
