Everyone wants to be
associated with a country, not being from anyone is more of being a nomad. One
could be a Kenyan through birth, dual citizenship, or via other means like
getting married to a Kenyan. Don't litter, correct your fellow Kenyan when in
wrong, avoid plagiarizing, do not be corrupt
Kenya
is a third world country; we cannot be compared to the United States of America
but we are a country that can be proudly spoken of but only Kenyans would make
it possible. Kenyans should behave in a way that would sell itself just through
how we behave when among others. To start with how do we keep our environment
clean? Do you
throw away your garbage anywhere in the street or do you lookout for a dustbin
and trash it there? It is all up to you. Do not look out for the city council,
if they are around there or the police, what about God, is he not watching you every
step of your way?
Do you bribe just because you drove in the wrong lane? Because you
overtook wrongly? Do you bribe because you were found not wearing a mask? Is the
mask for your safety or the police? Ask yourself these pertinent questions just
before you lose that money to a police officer? You could have worn that mask
instead, it is clearly stated, wear your mask when in public, what would make
you not have one on? Do not enter a public service vehicle if it full, sit at
the back of a taxi or uber if boarding one, sanitize always. Go out only when
necessary. Do not go out for the sake. Be your keeper before you become your
brother’s or sister’s, keeper. Just the other day when boarding a bus at
traffic stage on Ngong road towards town, a tout mentioned that people should
just board the matatu, “kweni hamuoni watu wanaketi wawili wawili, mama songea
watu” This is a worrying and shocking statement to me, it should be to you too.
Do not board that matatu, if they are all full, walk to your destination if you
can, if you cant walk, wait until one that has enough space comes.
This is your life you are protecting. Covid-19 is a virus that is
killing people day in day out, it is pretty simple, observe the precautionary measures
placed- wear a mask whenever in public, sanitize always, and keep the social
distance.
