Was it all a LIE?

I call my mum as usual before I sleep on 21st June 2022 and gives me the news that they received their annual bonus earlier than expected. But why Munya? Over the year CS Munya has promised tea farmers of better pay but alas they receive their bonus In June when it is supposed to be released in October as the norm. Is the national elections leading to all of this changes. But why the reduction in the bonus payment.   The dollar seems to rise and as tea is exported, they expected a rise in their payments because the pay is supposedly higher. I really hope the presidential candidates this year are keen on seen this drastic drop in tea farmers bonuses. The current president uhuru Kenyatta should also comment on why the change of the prices, why the bonus came earlier than expected and why the promise from the promise from the government on getting a higher bonus rate was not fulfilled. This is such a bad feeling for all the tea farmers especially now that it is coming ...

Does Kenya embrace its Own?

There has been a rise in the uptake of higher education in Kenya. This is opposed to the past years were only a few people were into academics or went beyond doing a Master's or a doctor of a philosophy degree. In the past, someone who had a degree or a master's degree was highly regarded in society. They used to get such opportunities via scholarships or sponsorships from their workplace or the institution they previously schooled in.   I listened to Justice Mutua Ph.D. and Kezia Njuguna from the school of nursing, Daystar University presents a paper during the 1st Day of the Inaugural Annual Conference and it proves the bright minds we av here in Kenya in the medical field. Kenyans Fury Over Fuel Prices Hike

  Fuel prices have hit a notch higher in Kenya after a series of the prices continually hiking. This move has caused a lot of reactions from Kenyans of all classes, the rich, middle class, and the poor. The price of fuel going up has worsened the state of the economy in Kenya such that those in the public service vehicle (PSV) industry or 'matatu' industry as it is well known are forced to increase commuter prices for the distances they cover. It is such moves that will hard-hit people and give them a hard time living and providing for their families on a day-to-day basis. Motorists and boda boda riders are also having a hard time because they have to dig deeper into their pockets in order to fuel their vehicles and motorbikes.  Kenyans have hence reacted to the situation by having a standstill on roads as a way to protest the pain felt after the fuel prices rose. Kenya should borrow a Leaf from Westernized countries

  Just look at the additional jobs last month in the U.S, while we still wailing over the unemployment menace in Kenya...are our leaders ever curious about how to get here? Will we ever get here? Guess that remains a rhetorical question as to where we stand. Last night was AFCON final game Then Kenya ’s former Gor Mahia’s coach, Ghost Mulee can’t be maintained, It has become a trend now that our football teams keep changing local coaches with coaches coming from Westernized countries. Who even decides on this? Now that Kenya is an election year and the next leaders will take their seats come August 2022, it is a challenge for the upcoming leaders to work on seeing another sport bring Kenya to the Limelight in Africa let alone in the world, or should we just stick to Athletics?
