Was it all a LIE?

I call my mum as usual before I sleep on 21st June 2022 and gives me the news that they received their annual bonus earlier than expected. But why Munya? Over the year CS Munya has promised tea farmers of better pay but alas they receive their bonus In June when it is supposed to be released in October as the norm. Is the national elections leading to all of this changes. But why the reduction in the bonus payment.   The dollar seems to rise and as tea is exported, they expected a rise in their payments because the pay is supposedly higher. I really hope the presidential candidates this year are keen on seen this drastic drop in tea farmers bonuses. The current president uhuru Kenyatta should also comment on why the change of the prices, why the bonus came earlier than expected and why the promise from the promise from the government on getting a higher bonus rate was not fulfilled. This is such a bad feeling for all the tea farmers especially now that it is coming ...

Poor Millionaires

Athletes have always been Kenya's pride since time immemorial to this day and age. It’s a shame getting to see one of the athletes looking and living poor after winning races and being paid handsomely for it. Such should never happen and should not even be expected. Why would  a lawyer who has not stood with him in his rising to be a star just show up when he has accomplished so much and rob him of his wealth. People wake up and sweat to get their daily bread while others just ride on other people's glory. This athlete must have been waking up as early as 5am to practice for his races, exercise and be fit getting ready for his races. Daniel Komen must be a sad man now thinking of how he worked hard to get to where he was , a successful athlete that put Kenya's name at the tops. Getting to be called a silver medalist is not a joke, it is an achievement worked for. I hope the case been taken up by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) will wo...

Politics is a dirty game!

Politics is for sure a dirty game. Year in year out this iron lady from Gichugu constituency has always had something to stir up people's thoughts .She has been at her high and low moments but she is never brought down. She always walks with her chin raised her .I have always admired her as a woman and also from the fact that we hail from the same county .Martha Karua has served as  a lawyer, member of parliament of Gichugu and also as minister of Justice. One thing with her is that she remains confident in how she runs her affairs. In 2007 she vied for presidency in Kenya and lost .Well she might have known she didn't stand a chance to win but she did vie anyway .I liked her vigor especially in the presidential debates of 2007.Well i don't know why she didn't even get to no.2 as a presidential candidate especially being a woman .It seems women don't vote in their fellow women when they vie for political seats .If many women did vote her in i think...

What a Shocker!

No one ever foresaw Donald John Trump winning 2016 United States of America 2016 elections. All through the campaign period most people both in America and all over the world. It was Clinton to the end. A lot of media houses preempted on the same via broadcast, print and online media. In my opinion it was more of an excitement to have a woman president for the very first leading the super power country, USA. But what happened that Trump won, more so that majority of women in the country got to choose Trump instead of Hillary. I mean who wouldn't be amazed by such an action. Didn't women want to have their fellow human leading them and their country? What did Trump do to win their votes? According to the CNN exit polls,53% of women supported the Republican nominee for the 2016 elections ,Donald .J. Trump .Well this was a shocker especially looking at his previous abortion stand during the election period ,sex assault allegations and also fat shaming a former beau...

Study and Politics should be separated.

It really saddens me when politics and school is intertwined.A student having been expelled from campus,in this case Masinde Muliro University is just sad.Getting a stop to your campus routine simply because he supported a certain party is really sad and is not a modern way to deal with these issues. A lot of young people are vying for political seats even while still in school.Instead of been expelled this people should be encouraged on moving forward and having a strong basis for their political aspirations. How our politicians behave out there is portrayed and will continually be portrayed by the younger generation. If the politicians go rioting or protesting in the streets ,with their followers looting and burning tyres on the road the rest of the younger generation will do the same. May the Lord help the young generation to shun what is wrong and take up the right deeds from the experienced fellows.
