Was it all a LIE?

I call my mum as usual before I sleep on 21st June 2022 and gives me the news that they received their annual bonus earlier than expected. But why Munya? Over the year CS Munya has promised tea farmers of better pay but alas they receive their bonus In June when it is supposed to be released in October as the norm. Is the national elections leading to all of this changes. But why the reduction in the bonus payment.   The dollar seems to rise and as tea is exported, they expected a rise in their payments because the pay is supposedly higher. I really hope the presidential candidates this year are keen on seen this drastic drop in tea farmers bonuses. The current president uhuru Kenyatta should also comment on why the change of the prices, why the bonus came earlier than expected and why the promise from the promise from the government on getting a higher bonus rate was not fulfilled. This is such a bad feeling for all the tea farmers especially now that it is coming ...

Tired and Broke??

There are just those days you just not in the mood to talk to anyone not that you hate them.Applying for jobs and not being successful especially when it strikes a year can be stressful. You just feel like closing up yourself in a cage and cry asking God why you?How comes your classmates have secured a job and you haven't.I am a Christian but I still ask God why I still don't have a job though deep inside I know someday He will do it for me.Like Jimmy gait's new hit states 'Kuna Day the Lord will do it for me,Kuna Day kenye napitia sai itakuwa #TBT Throw Back Time'. When I listen to such a song it motivates and rejuvenates me and i want to keep applying but after sometime I get low again. This times are so hard because we are still dependent on our parents for upkeep and rent of where we stay and normally when you are done with school and you graduate you feel that you want to take care of yourself. But you can't if you don't have an income. But friends let...

It exciting when I just pass through my Facebook feed and find a link to an article that diabetes patients might come to an end of their daily injections as scientists restore insulin production. You will find the link at the end of this blog post. When I was growing up I watched my Dad inject himself daily with insulin before he slept. It was like he never felt pain because of the daily routine. In addition to the injections were many pills that he drank morning and evening everyday. My dad,the late Rev.Godfrey Mureithi Munge had suffered from diabetes for 16 yrs, even before I was born he had it.In my earlier years he looked OK , joyful, ran around with me as I played,I was the last born so I was the playful one then since my siblings and i have an over 10 year difference. But when I was around 6 and a half years he started having kidney problems and then his eyesight started deteriorating. It was a sad ordeal to see him go for dialysis weekly at the Kenyatta National hospital and been...

Pope's Visit was Amazing

Image
Humility is a modest or low view of one's own importance. When you are a pope you do not just act as a leader of the Roman Catholic but also as a world leader. That would answer the question why he had alot of turn up in his meetings. What amazed me is how he looked keen in all the gatherings since he landed in Kenya on Wednesday, the 25th November 2015 to Friday the 27th.He looked strong always, with his beautiful smile, always stood up to appreciate all speakers that made speeches and the humour he accompanied in his speeches was just amazing despite being 78years of age. I really salute him for keeping time all through, landing in Kenya prior the set time, arriving for his meetings on or before the set time.I mean its something I really would want to follow suit,I hope we will keep the spirit as Kenyans starting from our leaders to we citizens and stop the culture that is well dubbed as #africantiming. When time is kept everything runs smoothly, with no delays. Thank you pope for th...

According to Fox News,The Pope visits War -Torn Africa.Yes we know a few countries in Africa have had war or violence in the past but it doesn't mean we still face it. For instance in Kenya it  started from world war 1 & 2 then came the post election violence,it was tough but we overcame it.There is this thing I don't know why but Africa seems bushy and like we do not live well.I remember my sister mentioning when she had gone to visit the U.K with her hubby that people there thought they live on trees, can u just that?funny huh,I know. I am just guessing that comes in because of our darkskins so our appearance still looks like its for those who live in the forest. But anyway that doesn't matter,it still remains 'Black is Beauty'. Africa is full of potential in fact, with the pope's coming -his garments being tailor made right here in Kenya, the plans that were made by Kenyans plus the creativity forms the pictorials in pope's coming. It just doesn't ...

WOULD WE DO IT FOR GOD?

The Pope's coming to Kenya preparations started months ago and he is set to arrive today. Alot of cash has been used to repair churches, their compounds, brand new garments have been made.I really don't find it realistic having all this praise and he is just the overall leader of the Catholic church worldwide.Aren't they human beings that are on earth fighting for righteousness just like you and me. When Jesus came on earth he was born just like we are and grew so we follow His ways.Jesus lived a humble life, mingled with people both the poor and rich,he ate with them and performed miracles on all kinds of people.Despite coming on earth as a human being He was still God.He faced trials and tribulations. He was crucified, died and buried. But so we know He was God he resurrected from the dead on the third day after his death and He forever lives since then.He was and remains the first born from the dead. God made Him pass through this so that through his suffering we may have l...

YES,I KNOW WHO I AM

Image
I just had to write my blog post today along knowing oneself basis.I have heard of this song-'I Know Who I am  several times and it has always inspired me ,i know it has to many more..Its an eye opener for me because it reveals that with God in my life I Know Who I Am.I honestly  think its fulfilling when one gets to know him/herself. "I Know Who I Am" [2x] We are a chosen generation Called forth to show His excellence All I require for life, God has given me And I know who I am [2x] I know who God says I am What He says I am Where He says I'm at I know who I am [2x] I’m walking in power, I’m walking miracles I live a life of favor, 'Cause I know who I am [Repeat from the top] Oh oh oh, oh oh oh I know who I am [Repeat] I am holy, I am righteous oh… I am so rich, I am beautiful [2x] I’m walking in power, I’m walking miracles I live a life of favor, 'Cause I know who I am Take a look at me, I’m a wonder It doesn’t matter what you see now Can y...

#Lesson2

So today my church,All Saints Cathedral had organised a luncheon for graduands of 2013-2015.It was fun I got to connect with new  people, laugh?got full, the food there was so yummy and last of all,I got of there blessed. The speaker of the event,Rev.Kamau who happens to be comical in his sermons got his sermon from Ecclessiastes 12:1 'Remember your Creator In the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say "I find no pleasure in them" ' The luncheon was to give us an opportunity to give thanks to God for letting us to go through school and come to an end of it. What hit me most Is that we should not only thank God for finishing school and graduating but also thank him for giving you the brains to absorb What we study and are able to concentrate on our studies. That ain't an obvious thing, its only God who does it,without him its impossible.Always remember to thank God for the little things that seem obvious to...

Who said its all about that??

There is this Kenyan mentality that when one is done with school you have to be hired or be under someone.I personally totally disagree with this notion.School leavers can also be employers as long as they have the idea of what they want to do,passion for it and the willingness to see it run. I just wish parents especially will train the younger generation to grow knowing that you don't have to be employed. After all unemployment is one of Kenya's hurdles, majority of Kenyans aren't employed yet they got the qualifications and skills for the jobs they apply. This is brought about by corruption and nepotism that goes around in schools. If we were innovative/creative and had the will to start up firms in our areas of specializations then Kenya would now be a developed country. Schools should also introduce that aspect of encouraging pupils and students to think without the box because you don't have to land on a job when you apply for it despite having the qualifications....

It Makes Me Keep Moving Forward and Never Give Up

In my opinion its not a normal 'kawaida' thing to go  to class for a period of time and get to the end of a course. It takes God to start with, determination, willingness and the passion to study that which you are being taught. It's not that fun been in class, been attentive, waking up early to attend classes and study at night or early morning when people when are deeply asleep and resting. It's a huge sacrifice of all alot of things for those who succeed. I give God all the glory and honor for enabling me battle it all and emerge victorious. Its all by His power, not by my might. What I would like to encourage someone reading this and perhaps  you who didn't do well in your O'Levels or K.C.S.E is that there is hope you too can get there if you are willing to.And for your information you didn't fail,no one is a failure in this earth and do not let it get into your head.Failure is just the omission of expected or required action.People who maybe your ...

New Start All Over Again

Image
You can imagine starting something up four years ago just for it to disappear four years after? That's what i am feeling now.I had a blog that i wrote posts after another and just when i am about to publish a new one yesterday, the site just went off.I have tried to open it over and over again in new tabs but it just wont come up.Its just this'504 Gateway Time-out  nginx/1.0.15 ' response that keep showing up. So i got frustrated and tried to find out how to transfer my blog posts when the site comes back but i haven't found out how and i think there aint a way.So i had to keep walking and the only way was to start afresh by registering a new account in a new blog site. So i did my research and found Blogger.com the best blog site that suites my needs for a good place to put down my ideas on and share them with the world.I still got the pain of trying to figure out how i could loose all my blog posts yet i hadn't backed them up because i used to type in directly o...
